AML CONFERENCE 2018 HIGHLIGHTS
We hosted our annual AML conference on the 17-18 May 2018 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Auckland. Some of the highlights included engaging addresses from International Keynote speaker, Timothy Goodrick from Financial Action Task Force and Mike Bush, Commissioner of Police. We hosted a record 410 attendees across our first two-day summit.
In regards to questions asked on the day, we are working hard to get answers to outstanding questions, the first of which will be available in the July newsletter.
We are currently busy working with law firms to help them meet the July 1 deadline and we will include some feedback on common issues here also. Watch this space.
Once again, a big thank you to our speakers and sponsors of the 2018 Summit.
Further information and contact details for the sponsors are provided below.
New Suspicious Activity Reporting Guideline issued by the FIU
We highly recommend the below reading material for all AML Compliance Officers.
If you haven’t done so already, you should also update your Compliance Programme for the change from suspicious transaction reporting to suspicious activity reporting.
